DAILY POEM "BE BACK IN 3 MINUTES"

They can make you laugh
shed a tear
sometimes they are cheap
or often dear.

Sell you a car
buy a house
clean your clothes
have a pet Mouse.

DAILY POEM "THE POINT OF NO RETURN"

Acres of fields
with vibrant colors
miles and miles of scented
flowers intoxicate my
very soul.

The flowers never die
they simply reincarnate
lasting forever
over and over again
they blossom
producing a scent
more powerful than
you can imagine.

DAILY POEM "GLORIOUS SUNSHINE DAYS"

After a long cold winter
its nice to see
the sun in its glory
its how it should be.

The heat is immense
things start to grow
we all go crazy
and ready to go.

DAILY POEM " SINGLE MOM AND PROUD OF IT"

single mom cartoons, single mom cartoon, single mom picture, single mom pictures, single mom image, single mom images, single mom illustration, single mom illustrations
She was a mum to three young kids
no support, just on her own
her days and hours were busy
no time to grunt and groan.

She was only a young girl
when she had her first born child
a quietly spoken kid
not known for being wild.

DAILY POEM "THE ICE CREAM VAN" days gone by.

His jingles could be heard from afar
as he drove into our street
a magical vehicle on four wheels
beckoning to give us a treat..

Ice cream so delicious
and change to buy a sweet
those days were so spectacular
spectacular and neat.

Shouting up to mum
to get a couple of pence
the din was overpowering
while shaking the garden fence.

The World was your oyster
as you chose your fav ice cream
this little van with wonders
was a childs paradise dream.

Sometimes we would have enough
to buy a sweet or two
content with your lot those days
and your mates were happy too.

He came around our street
twenty times a day
but your parents were very dubious
to give their money away.

Money was more tight then
but the luxuries were sometimes had
it stretched a little further
even got money from your dad!

The jingle could be heard for miles
as you ran to greet the man
with treasures over spilling
from the little musical van.

I remember the seventies well, we had an ice cream van, who came into our street about twenty times a day, especially in the summer, our parents were demented as each time he came, we would want money for sweets, thinking back, they must have been angry lol, as we shouted our hearts out up to our house to get money for the "ice cream van"

Did you have an ice cream van visiting your street?

DAILY POEM "THE PRE FABRICATOR"

He could not help himself
every word was a tissue of lies
his peers never believed him
looking at him with surprise.

He would mention odd things
even believing his own tall tales
what made him say these things?
magnitudes in scales.

I come to your blog
to read your creation
it takes me to places
beyond my station.

The talent before us
is for all to see
a page of your thoughts
your mind set free.

DAILY POEM "A DAY IN THE LIFE OF ME"

It's Saturday night
and I am stuck at work
should be out partying
instead of feeling a Burk.

Folks are all merry
as they pop on in
some more than others
full of Gin!.
