DAILY POEM "NANCY SMITH" FOR HALLOWEEN

Whilst walking through
the streets one night
I came across a wonderous sight
A lady aglow in yellow light.

She looked so very real to me
I walked towards her shaking
her aura I could feel so strong
could my eyes be faking?

DAILY POEM "A HALLOWEEN TREAT"

In the black of night
it can be seen
not only on days
such as Halloween.

Lurking in trees
waiting to pounce
scared of nothing
weighing an ounce.

Trees rustle
winds are high
storms fearful
would make you cry.

DAILY POEM " AN ELDERLY BURDEN"

How did I get this way
cold,damp and alone?
years ago I was active
could do things on my own.

I look out of the window
and watch the children play
I used to go and see them
when I had my way.

Cannot afford the bills
I have no heat in here
I am scared to go outside
I live my life in fear.

DAILY POEM "MINDS IN TORMENT" GUESS THE MOVIE 18

I read your mind
you have nothing to hide
every emotion
turns like the tide.

Penetrate your head
I know all your thoughts
don't try to block me
everything rots.

A group of people
trying to survive
inner thoughts
arguing live.

DAILY POEM "SHE SUFFERED IN SILENCE"

It was said
she coped very well
diagnosed with no one
to tell.

For years she knew
something was wrong
when she awoke
there was no song.

Her moods were
as dark as night
her temper flared
like a rockets light.

DAILY POEM "THEN ,NOW, AND THE FUTURE"

I remember the days
when life was a blast
things were cheaper
and would last!

No one was hungry
crime was low
kids would survive
to prosper and grow.

Adults were respected
darkness wasn't feared
Mothers abandoned
children reared.

DAILY POEM "GUNNED DOWN"

Headline Photo
Another tragedy strikes
a boy of young age
a teenager gunned down
has caused outrage.

Balaclava men
shot into the crowd
the noise was deafening
piercingly loud.

So why were they shot at?
what was the reason
going around in gangs
chillin and breezin.

DAILY POEM "TRAPPED FOR MONTHS"

Darkness surrounds
like a tunnel without light
screams can be heard
it was the fright!

Clambering in black dust
like children in sand
arms legs and bodies
a desperate hand.

Where is the light
none can be found
moaning, grasping
an awkward sound.

DAILY POEM "PROTESTERS OF PEACE"

In a World of serious issues
trivialities win the day
people have much to talk about
everyone has the right to say.

I agree people should protest
if they feel that is the only way
but violence solves nothing
it does nothing on the day.

We all have the right to shout
make ourselves heard in the crowd
sometimes you need a loudspeaker
to be heard clearly and loud.

DAILY POEM "A CUT TOO DEEP"

Hospitals running down
streets paved with litter
Public Services slashed
nothing is made of glitter.

The poor getting thrashed
benefits to be revised
cuts here and there
and the Tory's are despised

They blame the last Government
because of the crisis they left
everyone blaming each other
has left this Country bereft.

DAILY POEM "WINTER IS NEAR"

The frost is once again here
bitter ice fills the air
Summer truly over
days partly dark but fair.

Children wrapped in scarves
warm breathe turns to ice
flowers drooping on stalks
shrubs don't look so nice.

Leaves swirl in windy dance
gathering piles on the ground
Gardeners puffing in anger
profanities the only sound.

DAILY POEM "MASTERCHEF"

The scene is set
clinical precision
an array of food
only one decision.

Professional Chefs
ply for blood
the tension is great
it comes in a flood.

Chicken prepared
steak most rare
they take their time
its done with care.

DAILY POEM "DEADLY ROAD RAGE"

The road is long and boring
fields and fields to view
nothing to do but drive
drink coke, maybe have a few.

Driving is intense
you have to be alert
things can happen suddenly
you have to be expert.

Animals or kids
can jump out from anywhere
no matter how fast your going
you really must take care.

DAILY POEM "COLD SPELL"

Your in my head
won't leave me alone
give me shivers
right to the bone.

You make me cough
my lungs on fire
my nose runs constant
I want to retire!

My body aches
No comfort for me
go away fever
let me be.

DAILY POEM "SAME DIFFERENCE"

He is fat
she is thin
why is that guy
scrounging through the bin?

He is ugly
she is old
he is nasty
her heart is of gold.

He is cheeky
she is rude
he is hungry
she has no food.

DAILY POEM "COLOR ME IN"

In a World of utter contempt
the limelight is stolen once more
who would ever have thought of this
open your mind and let it explore.

Hatred still has a major part
hopefully they are a minority
goodness tries its best to defeat
always taking priority.

What difference does any of this make
why do people act this way
time and time it happens too much
probably each new day.

DAILY POEM "WEEKEND BREAK "

Its finally here
a time to relax
you earned your crust
paid your tax.

Work clothes off
forget them for now
identity badge away
the sweat off your brow.

Live for the weekend
you paid your dues
no time for hardship
or feeling the blues.

DAILY POEM "UNEXPECTED LUCK"

When I need you
you never turn up
you shy away
like a tiny pup.

I wait ages
but your never appear
I grow poor
and tremble in fear.

But when you come
life is a joy
like child with a new
shiny toy.

DAILY POEM "FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD"

In the morning when I awake
still half asleep yearning for more
I often stop to think
what life was like living before.

When man had to forage for food
no Supermarkets in the land
things were not bought in packets
nothing was to hand.

When bread had to be baked at home
vegetables grown in a field
tea imported from India or China
you ate what your father could yield.

Clothing was made by the Mother or Wife
cows were milked in the barn
no chemicals then to make things last
materials were made of Yarn.

No wasteage created because of bulk
food mountians never created
no such thing as salmonella
were many deaths today were fated.

No refrigerators to keep the food
freezers not yet used
so how come nowadays we still have waste?
food has been abused.

Sell by dates, best before?
never heard of in the past
food was kept in a larder
not in bulk just enough to last.

Do not eat this? don't touch that
its enough to drive you insane
diets for this allergies for that
meaningless and inane.

How many people died of food poison
in the days before sell by dates?
statistics say not very many
its in our time this fad dictates.

What did people do before the refrigerator? did you ever hear of sell by dates? best before years ago? no, because in this "careful" society of e numbers and what have you, people are scared into the fact that food cannot be eaten after a certian time? this is nonsense, eggs, milk etc never had sell by dates until recent times, fact.

Can you remember the days before refrigeration?

DAILY POEM "BEAUTIFULLY DEAD"

I look in the mirror
and what do I see
old fat and ugly
that just is not me.

I wish I had millions
to change how I look
be like a celebrity
like in that book.

I would change my face
take away my age
I would be happy
live without rage.

DAILY POEM "SCOTLAND A PLACE OF NATURAL BEAUTY"

the soft cool air
hits your face
the surroundings beautiful
there's no disgrace.

Heather growing
from miles around
stunning scenery
hardly a sound.

Lochs of fresh water
still as night
nothing but animals
a glorious sight.

Freshwater fish
jump from the loch
the tastiest salmon
of the highest stock.

Fresh pine trees
climbing for miles
all shapes and sizes
of various styles.

The morning dew
on the mossed stone
to wash your face
all home grown.

A beautiful landscape
on Scottish land
is there to visit
were traffic is banned.

Enjoy the scenery
be calm and sedate
the view is astonishing
the mood you create.

I think there is nothing more fulfilling than visiting the Scottish countryside, for miles and miles there is nothing but Beauty, no traffic, no noise, just plain beauty, if you have never visited Scotland, well you have never lived, its all it is and more.

Where is your favourite place in the World?

DAILY POEM "REMEMBRANCE"

Its the outbreak of War
everyone is scared
a time for hurt
so be prepared.

Marching soldiers
machines that can kill
firing on people
shooting at will.

Races wiped out
at the pull of a trigger
who would have believed
no one could figure.

DAILY POEM "AUTUMN LEAVES"

The leaves turn brown
on the large oak tree
its time to rest
your time to be free.

The winds pick up
shrubs start to die
flowers are wilted
the bees don't fly.

Temperatures fall
it's dark once more
the sun isn't warm
like months before.

DAILY POEM "WORRY WORRY"

In life we have to make choices
sometimes right or wrong, it depends
but we are the ones who will suffer
wrong decisions, may set new trends.

We have all made mistakes in life
without them we wouldn't be normal
sacrifices we often make
be it for real or sometimes informal.

So why do people get upset
when clearly it hurts only you?
are they so wrapped up in themselves
that they can hardly see through.

INN OF HAPPINESS THE FINALE PART 49

INN OF HAPPINESS THE FINALE

At last she was released
No more pain for her
Demetrius hugged her for hours
Then wrapped her in her fur.

He loved this woman with all his heart
And nothing had gone their way
It appeared it was their destiny
It wasn't quite their day.

Demetrius returned to Rome
To the only friend he had left
The Inspector managed to cover for him
Everything was put down to drug theft.

Lily will always be remembered
She was buried in Rome by his side
And when the time would finally come
Demetrius would be buried with his bride.

Demetrius walked along the beach
With Lucky by his side
His mind would venture from present day
As he watched the ebbing tide.

R.I.P LILY I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU.

THE END :)

Thanks a million all of you who followed this series I hope you enjoyed it :)

INN OF HAPPINESS THE FINALE PART 48

INN OF HAPPINESS THE FINALE

Dominic laughed at both of them
He knew they were very weak
Until Demetrius told him about his son
The smile had left his cheek.

Lily went over to Demetrius
To try and talk some sense
And just as she walked over
Dominic had jumped a fence.

Demetrius took a shot at him
And caught him in the leg
And as Dominic fell to the ground
He was trying to blabber and beg.

Unknown to the couple he had a gun
Strapped to the leg that was shot
He reached down as if to nurse his leg
And with a bullet with Lily he got.

Lily fell to the ground
Blood poured from her head
Demetrius was now frantic
And shot Dominic dead.

He grabbed Lily to his chest
She tried to smile in pain
She mumbled something very quiet
The bullet had hit her brain.
