DAILY POEM "INN OF HAPPINESS" PART 6

[product thumbnail]
The bar was dingy the clientele sad
The tables were full of loners
A clammy air was present within
As he listened to the groaners.

Behind the bar stood Lily
Her beauty  lit up the place
Dressed in clingy expensive clothes
Of satin bright red lace.

Demetrius looked at her in awe
As she poured him his usual drink
She had seen this unkempt stranger before
But right now she couldn't think.

The two stared each other out
As voices of thirsty men were raised
Ignoring all the din around her
Even men who's pride were grazed.

The rest of the night was busy
Words were exchanged now and then
Demetrius was fascinated, engagingly
He was determined to see her again.
